Like most parents the very first BB Gun I got to shoot growing up was the Red Ryder BB Gun. You don’t know how excited I am to review the Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun (Red Rider BB Gun if you spell it the way it sounds). This BB gun brings back so many memories. I’ll have to admit I was pretty darn good with it. I remember picking off soda bottle caps and GI Joe men with my Red Ryder- how much fun it was spending a weekend shooting.
The Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun is a great rifle for your young shooter. It is recommended for shooters 10 and up with adult supervision. It has a nice wooden stock just like the one I remember shooting.

It is spring air action rifle. You cock and load the rifle with the lever action underneath. The easy cocking action is great for young shooters. Just place the butt of the gun on your hip, point the gun up and away and pull the lever – well at least that’s how I did back in the days.
The Red Ryder BB gun takes the common .177 caliber BBs. The great thing about the rifle is it’s holding capacity, a whopping 650 BBs. Once you load it full of BBs it will be a while before you have to reload. The velocity is 350 feet per second, not extremely powerful but be sure to take all safety precautions.
